On behalf of Network Rail, we are looking for a Senior Analysis and Reporting Manager for a 6 months contract based in London 3 days per week.

Lead the business’ provision for region / route analysis of financial, benchmark and performance information, to provide guidance and direction for future strategy and business direction. To develop plans and models that highlight opportunities for improvement in both financial and non-financial areas and create models that support the longer term business and economic planning horizon. Lead the production of all region / route reports.
As a Senior Analysis and Reporting Manager , your main responsibilities will be:
- Lead analytical programmes to identify financial, process, and performance improvements aligned with business objectives and long-term strategic planning.
- Develop and manage periodic reporting to deliver financial insights for regional, national, and stakeholder needs, including ORR and DfT.
- Coordinate cross-functional analysis and reporting, ensuring alignment across the region/route and supporting informed investment decisions.
- Monitor business performance, identifying risks, opportunities, and recommending corrective actions to meet objectives.
- Deliver high-impact analysis and critiques for Management Business Reviews, highlighting inefficiencies and potential savings.
- Lead and develop a flexible analyst team, ensuring consistent professional standards and providing ad hoc support to senior leadership.
Essential:
- Professionally qualified with relevant post-qualification experience and full membership of a recognised financial or business body.(Preferred)
- Proven expertise in financial analysis and modelling, including investment appraisal techniques and advanced Excel (or equivalent) skills for large data analysis.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience advising senior leaders and presenting complex information clearly and persuasively.
Desirable:
- Experience of working in a matrix management organisation
- Experience in leading business analysis and reporting within a large organisation
