On behalf of Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT), we are looking for an Events Manager (Inside IR35) for a contract up to March 2026 (possible extension) based remotely (event will be in London)

Overview:
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Event Manager to lead the development, planning and delivery of internal and external events from concept to completion. This role requires strong project management skills, excellent communication, and the ability to create engaging event experiences while managing multiple stakeholders and suppliers.
As an Events Manager your main responsibilities will be:
- Lead the end-to-end planning, production and delivery of events, ensuring timelines, budgets and expectations are met.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans for each event.
- Manage and nurture strong relationships with clients, suppliers, external coordinators and stakeholders.
- Oversee venue arrangements including catering, room layout and AV requirements.
- Work collaboratively with slide-deck designers to produce high-quality presentation materials.
- Develop and implement the event communications plan, working closely with marketing and comms teams.
- Manage all Eventbrite set-up and attendee communications.
- Produce and distribute briefing materials for presenters and attendees.
- Create all event collateral such as agendas, slide decks and post-event resources.
- Coordinate all on-the-day operations (registration, catering, room transitions, logistics).
- Launch and manage post-event surveys, ensuring data is captured and reported.
- Work with external consultants to ensure timely delivery of content and aligned activities.
- Contribute to marketing strategies and support the creation of bespoke proposals for events.
Essential:
- Proven experience in event management, delivering events from concept to completion.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage timelines, budgets and competing priorities.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
- Experience coordinating venues, suppliers and logistics.
- Ability to create or oversee engaging presentation materials and event collateral.
- Confident working with event management tools/platforms (e.g., Eventbrite).
- Ability to work under pressure and manage live event operations smoothly.
Desirable:
- Experience working with marketing or communications teams.
- Experience analysing and reporting event feedback or survey data.
- Familiarity with slide-deck design principles or collaboration with designers.
- Experience working with external consultants or agencies.
- Knowledge of developing or contributing to event marketing strategies.
