On behalf of the Infected Blood Compensation Authority (IBCA) we are looking for a Finance Business Partner(Inside IR35) for a 3 month contract based REMOTELY
The new Infected Blood Compensation Authority (IBCA) provides compensation to those affected by the infected blood scandal. This role offers a unique opportunity to help IBCA manage its financial performance by providing crucial insights to decision makers.
You’ll join a growing team, supporting the organisation in reporting its financial position to decision makers. You’ll be involved in in-year reporting, providing insights through management reports, and managing submissions for Estimates
This key role requires an experienced, proactive accountant who can present and challenge financial reports, manage competing priorities, responding to stakeholder needs and support the organisation rapidly establish its processes and deliver to tight timescales,
This role will from time to time require flexibility to assist with the wider finance deliverables
As a Finance Business Partner, your main responsibilities will be:
- Leading the preparation and presentation of monthly financial reports
- Reviewing performance with directorates, providing financial analysis and insight
- Overseeing month-end activities and ensuring accurate ledgers
- Managing key funding submissions,
- Providing investment decision support
Essential:
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills across all levels.
- Proven experience in budgeting, in-year reporting, and month-end accounting (accruals, journals, reconciliations).
- Solid understanding of public sector financial frameworks including Consolidated Budgeting Guidance, Managing Public Money, IFRS, and FReM.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage competing priorities, work independently or collaboratively, and adapt to changing demands.
Desirable:
- Part-qualified or qualified (e.g. CIMA, ACA, ACCA).
