Description & Requirements

On behalf of The Home Office, we are looking for a Recruitment Specialist (Inside IR35) for a 6 month contract based Hybrid working (2/3 days per week in Croydon office and remaining WFH)

These are difficult areas that can rapidly change in the global environment we work in – this makes us one of the most exciting and stimulating government departments in which to work.


Please note that SC Clearance is required for this role, as a minimum candidates must be willing and eligible to undergo clearance.


The main duties and responsibilities of the Recruitment Specialist would be:

  • Working with DDaT Business Area colleagues to understand the recruitment pipeline prioritised demand
  • Engaging and collaborating with stakeholders to develop a campaign plan that maximises campaign applications, success rates and reduce time to hire
  • Managing at pace and scale the end-to-end process for permanent recruitment campaigns including sourcing and coordinating technically qualified / experienced panel members to support selection and engagement with other enabling teams involved in onboarding
  • Managing and liaising with candidates throughout the recruitment process to keep them regularly informed on progress and to proactively resolve any issues or delays that may impact their recruitment experience or onboarding
  • Working with Workforce Planners to track and report on roles recruited to ensure data is up to date and aligned and that external resources are exited as per agreed plans, to ensure cost savings targets are achieved
  • Ensuring good quality and timely onboarding and DDaT induction activities are in place to support the candidate landing well in the organisation


Essential:

  • You’ll have a passion for developing capability and delivering business critical services
  • Understanding the principles and process of end-to-end recruitment
  • Demonstrating good organisational skills and a proven ability to prioritise and balance demanding workloads
  • Communicating effectively at all levels, both verbally and in writing
  • Building productive stakeholder relationships and using challenge and influence to drive outcomes at pace and scale
  • Demonstrating good problem solving, decision making, and analytical skills
  • Desirable skills and experience:
  • Previous experience in large scale public sector recruitment
