On behalf of AWE, we are looking for a Senior Contract Manager (Inside IR35) for a 12 Month contract based In Reading or London 1 day per week

AWE plays a crucial role in national nuclear security. Their role in nuclear deterrence and their specialist technical assistance to nuclear threat reduction is vital in the defence against the most serious threats faced by the UK. As a Senior Contracts Manager, your main responsibilities will be:
- Create and lead a skilled contract management team to deliver contract performance outcomes aligned with business and HMG commercial requirements.
- Act as a subject matter expert, providing professional advice to enable effective contract delivery and support procurement activities.
- Ensure robust Contract Management Plans are in place for all contracts, covering performance management, invoice applications, risk management, and reviews.
- Ensure contracts comply with Business Management systems and government regulations, conducting internal audits to verify compliance.
- Work collaboratively with AWE stakeholders and SCM Leadership to understand business requirements and champion contract best practices.
- Implement the Supplier Relationship Management framework to manage risk performance, and value extraction from key suppliers, and support the development of Supplier Strategies.
Essential:
- Team leadership experience
- Strategic Post Contract experience
- Oversee the Contract management of all contracts
- Strong stakeholder Management skills with both Internal and external stakeholders
- Professional services Contract Experience
- NEC and CCS contract experience
Desirable:
- Public sector experience
- Active SC clearance or willing and eligible to go through SC clearance
