On behalf of Network Rail, we are looking for a Supplier Manager for a 4 month remote contract based out of Milton Keynes.

As a Supplier Manager, your main responsibilities will be:
- Responsible for assessing the existing Commercial landscape and reviewing the impact on programme delivery.
- Design and implement approaches which ensure the right outcome for the department.
- Lead on Supplier integration with regards to relationship and cost impact.
- Able to clarify the ability to terminate current contracts, working with programme finance leads to understand impact and realisation of any potential benefits.
- Capable of renegotiating existing contracts.
- Manage the impact of existing Commercial financial models.
- Act as the primary point of contact between the incumbent Suppliers and the department
Essential:
- Business-savvy – Degree in Business/Economics or equivalent experience
- Procurement pro – Strong background in supplier management
- Contract & finance know-how – Solid understanding of contract law and financial management
- Negotiator & problem solver – Skilled in resolving disputes and tackling complex supplier challenges
- Value driver – Experienced in getting the most from supplier contracts and relationships
- Continuous improver – Focused on delivering results and ongoing improvements
- Collaborative & agile – Comfortable working across teams in a flexible way
- Influential communicator – Able to navigate politics and influence at senior levels
- Detail finisher – Completes tasks thoroughly and accurately
- Ideally you will hold a background in Facilities Management or Public Sector
Desirable:
- Detailed knowledge of the UK Rail Industry, including procurement processes in a reclassified environment
