On behalf of Defra, we are looking for x4 G7 Implementation Finance Managers (Inside IR35) for a remote contract to run up until March, 2028.

As a G7 Implementation Finance Manager, your main responsibilities will be:
- Lead end‑to‑end delivery of the ERP implementation.
- Shape local design, tailoring the Common Design to operational needs.
- Drive build activity, overseeing configuration and data readiness.
- Lead system integration testing to ensure end‑to‑end functionality.
- Support UAT, working with users and identifying training needs.
- Manage cutover, including data migration and go‑live readiness.
- Represent Defra in cross‑departmental forums and decision‑making.
- Align accounting policies and processes with other departments.
- Apply lessons learned from earlier ERP implementations.
- Review documentation and provide clear, constructive feedback.
- Deliver training and produce user guidance as required.
- Line manage staff and support BAU delivery.
Essential:
- Experience with Oracle/SOP finance systems
- Previous experience of implementing ERP Systems
- Delivers at pace in tight finance timelines
- Strategic problem‑solver with strong risk awareness
- Influences and builds strong stakeholder relationships
- Clear, confident written and verbal communicator
- Credible, inclusive people leader
- Drives change, efficiency and improvement
- Strong project delivery to challenging deadlines
- Leads geographically dispersed teams
- Solid government finance knowledge
- Line management experience
- Strong at bridging IT and finance conversation
- Multiple high‑value systems implementations
Desirable:
- You will be a qualified accountant or QBE
- Previous Public Sector experience
