On behalf of the Fair Work Agency (FWA) part of DBT, we are looking for a Finance Officer (Inside IR35) for a 6 months contract based in Nottingham 2 days per month in the office.
As a Finance Officer within the Fair Work Agency (FWA), you will support the delivery of effective financial management, helping ensure accurate financial information, strong controls, and value for money.
As a Finance Officer, your main responsibilities will be:
- Support day-to-day financial operations including processing transactions and maintaining records.
- Assist with budget monitoring and provide basic financial information to support reporting.
- Prepare routine financial reports and data in line with established processes.
- Ensure financial data is accurate, complete and recorded in line with policies.
- Support compliance with Managing Public Money and departmental controls.
- Work with colleagues to resolve finance queries and provide customer-focused support.
- Maintain finance systems and contribute to improving processes.
Essential:
- Experience of working in an administrative, finance or data-focused role.
- Good attention to detail and ability to handle data accurately.
- Ability to follow processes and work to deadlines.
- Basic numerical and analytical skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
Desirable:
- Interest in finance and a finance qualification (e.g. AAT).
- Ideally experience with Oracle and working within a shared service'.
