On behalf of the Intellectual Property Office, we are looking for a Linux Infrastructure Engineer (Inside IR35) for a 12 month contract based Remote with occasional travel to the Newport office.

• educating businesses and consumers about IP rights and responsibilities
• supporting IP enforcement
• granting UK Patents, trademarks and design rights

We have a small office in the heart of London, but our main office is on the outskirts of Newport, South Wales.

As a Linux Infrastructure Engineer, your main responsibilities will be:

• Design, build, manage, and support the infrastructure services that underpin all internal user services and services to the public. 
• Work with a team of infrastructure specialists and engineers and support and maintain infrastructure solutions and services as directed and according to departmental policy
• Ensure services are delivered and used as required
• Work with and support third parties to provide infrastructure services.

Essential:

• Previous experience working within a Linux environment

SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks.  Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance.
