Description & Requirements

On behalf of Infected Blood Compensation Authority , we are looking for a Information Support Officer Inside IR35 for a 3 months  contract based Hybrid 3 days a week  in Newcastle upon Tyne 


As a Information Support Officer, your main responsibilities will be to: 

  • Handle end-to-end user access requests for Google Drive, including granting, modifying, and revoking access, and provide first-line support for access issues.
  • Keep accurate records of user permissions, conduct regular access reviews, and enforce security policies.
  • Assist in maintaining Google Drive structure, naming conventions, and performing data clean-up or migration tasks.
  • Help create/update user guides and process documentation, and respond to basic user queries on information management.
  • Provide updates to the KIM Lead, liaise with IT teams for technical issues, and suggest process improvements.


Essential:

  • Proven ability to accurately manage the end-to-end lifecycle of user access permissions (granting, modifying, revoking) within a system like Google Drive, strictly following established policies, maintaining precise records, and troubleshooting basic user access issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to support information organisation (e.g., folder structures, naming conventions), assist in creating clear documentation/user guides, respond effectively to user queries regarding information handling, and meticulously maintain records and process documentation.
  •  comfortable working in a fast paced environment, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, adapt quickly to changing priorities, and maintain a high level of accuracy under pressure.
  • Experience in using Google Suite, including but not limited to, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets and Google Mail to complete tasks.


Desirable:

  • Previous experience in working in a data function or working in a information / records management team for a similar organisation


Please be aware that this role can only be worked within the UK and not Overseas.
