On behalf of Network Rail, we are looking for a Supplier Contract Specialist for a 4 month contract (potential extension) based 3 days per week in Milton Keynes.

Manage medium cost and business risk assessed supplier contracts across multiple spend categories and work collaboratively with relevant customers and stakeholders to create and deliver incremental contractual and relationship value, in support of the Network Rail customer of choice ambition
As a Supplier Contract Specialist , your main responsibilities will be:
- Manage 20–30 medium-risk contracts using the lite Supplier Management Framework, ensuring governance, regulatory compliance, risk management, and delivery of full commercial value.
- Drive value creation and strong supplier relationships by collaborating with Category Managers, Sourcing, and key stakeholders to deliver benefits committed during sourcing.
- Implement and lead the lite Meeting Governance Framework across allocated suppliers, ensuring a single, joined‑up engagement model and maximising value through coordinated demand and supplier strategies.
- Oversee daily operational and contractual performance, facilitate contractual changes, and ensure accurate tracking of cost, risk, and service indicators throughout the contract lifecycle.
- Negotiate and implement in‑life cost savings, maintain accurate supplier contract data in relevant systems, and support Finance with budgeting, dispute resolution, and contingency planning.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, supplier performance insights, market practice research, customer satisfaction activity, and cross‑functional collaboration, including effective issue resolution with Accounts Payable.
Essential:
- Familiar with Oracle, Bravo & Power BI
- Supporting with contract management
- Stakeholder management knowledge
- Excellent communication skills both written & verbal
- Team player
- Handle stress and work under pressure
Desirable:
- Detailed knowledge of the UK Rail Industry, including procurement processes in a reclassified environment
- CIPS
