Description & Requirements

On behalf of Network Rail, we are looking for an Assistant Project Planner for a 6 Month contract based in Milton Keynes (2 - 3 days per week in office).

As a Assistant Project Planner, your main responsibilities will be:


Working in the GBR Leadership Academy project team. Support the delivery of programme plans, ensuring all necessary preparation, tasks and dependencies are included. Attend team meetings, taking notes and actions. Liaising with stakeholders (internal and external). Deliver regular progress updates on activities, including relevant risks and issues to the project team. Collate, format and distribute information to support programme requirements, cascading to internal and external parties where appropriate.


Specific tasks

  • Supporting the implementation of the programmes’ delivery plan.
  • Identify resources, facilities and equipment to deliver the programme plan whilst building and maintaining relationships with venues to ensure they are fully prepared.
  • Co-ordinate the commitments of training providers to ensure fully resourced training delivery
  • Manage the procurement of training providers, goods and services and record expenditure
  • Manage team centralised communications including issuing invites, joining instructions and programme information for distribution to delegates, guest speakers and the wider team.

  • Exceptional organisation skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Proficient in MS Office (Particularly excel)


Desirable

  • Previous experience in events planning/coordination
