Description & Requirements

On behalf of DWP, we are looking for a Junior IT Service Manager for a 6 Month contract based in Manchester or Blackpool.


The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is responsible for welfare, pensions, and child maintenance policy. As the UK’s biggest public service department, it administers the State Pension and a range of working age, disability and ill health benefits to around 20 million claimants and customers. As such, we operate on a scale that is almost unmatched anywhere in Europe and most people in Britain come into contact with us at some point in their lives.




As a Junior IT Service Manager your main responsibilities will be:

  • To create, maintain and manage knowledge on behalf of the Workplace Computing Product


  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of Workplace Computing Incidents, Problems and Requests


  • To utilise knowledge of service management frameworks ensuring ITSM best practice adherence


  • To identify trends and establish continual service improvement initiatives to improve UX


  • To effectively manage stakeholder relationships, building long term collaborative networks with Internal and External Teams


Essential:

  • Experience working in IT Service Management, ideally within a large Enterprise organisation


  • Good Verbal and Written communication skills


  • Ability to take technical information and process into friendly user/ management Information
