On behalf of DWP, we are looking for Infrastructure Engineers for a 6 month contract (Inside IR35) based in Manchester, Leeds or Newcastle.
The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is responsible for welfare, pensions, and child maintenance policy. As the UK’s biggest public service department, it administers the State Pension and a range of working age, disability and ill health benefits to around 20 million claimants and customers. As such, we operate on a scale that is almost unmatched anywhere in Europe and most people in Britain come into contact with us at some point in their lives.
Working with DWP, you will be helping us to drive our priorities to:
- Help people to move into work and support those already in work to progress, with the aim of increasing overall workforce participation
- Help people to plan and save for later life, while providing a safety net for those who need it now
- Provide effective, efficient, and innovative services to the millions of claimants who rely on us every day, including the most vulnerable in society
- Improve experience of our services while maximising value for money for the taxpayer.
SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be eligible and willing to undergo these checks
As an Infrastructure Engineer, your main responsibilities will be:
- Delivering a digital workplace that improves the way we work.
- Delivering high-quality and resilient IT services and support.
- Building a world-class performance-focused user experience control centre.
- Exploiting and enhancing hybrid cloud services.
- Protecting and securing our services.
Essential:
Must hold Active SC Clearance.
- Management, support, and implementation of key technologies (primarily using Microsoft Endpoint Management) for a 100K+ Windows 10 and 11 estate.
- Several other supporting infrastructure components such as Ivanti UWM, Microsoft BitLocker, KMS, Citrix and VPN Client integrations such as Checkpoint and Zscaler.
- 3rd / 4th line knowledge of Active Directory / Azure AD
- 3rd / 4th line knowledge of Windows Server Security, Monitoring and Vulnerability Management
- Experience of onboarding applications to Azure AD
- Experience of SSO (Azure) & MFA
- Experience of implementing and working with Privileged Access Management systems and RBAC e.g. Azure Privileged Identity (PIM) Management or CyberArk
- Experience of working in a large enterprise and multi-supplier environment
- Experience of managing, monitoring, and using GSuite/Google Workspace MDM’s and Intune
