Description & Requirements


On behalf of Network Rail, we are looking for a Part-Time Customer Service Advisor for a 6 Month contract based in Manchester, Square One - M1 2NY - 25 Hours p/week - Tuesday - Thursday.

As a Customer Service Advisor, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Manage queries about payroll, recruitment, payables, and protective equipment.
  • Update customers on query progress and delivery times.
  • Excel in a busy, customer-focused environment.
  • Provide a positive customer experience for NR shared services.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and promote a customer-first culture.
  • Support improvement initiatives and encourage an inclusive, responsible work culture.


You'll have:

  • Demonstrable customer service skills.
  • Excellent listening skills & ability to manage difficult conversations to a positive outcome.
  • Professional telephone manner. 
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Occupational knowledge of Shared Services - desirable.
  • Oracle eBusiness Suite experience - desirable. 


Please be aware that this role can only be worked within the UK and not Overseas.
