On behalf of the Cabinet Office, we are looking for a Senior Business Analyst (Inside IR35) for a 5 months contract based Hybrid in Manchester or Newcastle.

As a Senior Business Analyst your main responsibilities will be to:
- Support projects and tasks using a hybrid of Agile and Waterfall methodologies and work closely with stakeholders across multiple teams to understand, identify and analyse user needs and business requirements.
- Act as the first point of contact for stakeholders to investigate problems, working confidently with other product and delivery professionals, technical specialists and senior managers.
- You will be experienced at working with relative independence, analysing current processes and driving business improvements in a fast-paced environment.
Essential:
- Lifecycle working: Experience working across the full project delivery lifecycle, including the setup of new and significant programmes of work.
- Agile working: Ability to prioritise work and balance multiple tasks in uncertain and changing environments.
- Business analysis: Proven experience investigating, analysing and communicating complex business problems and defining new business processes while working with relative independence.
- Requirements definition: Strong capability in identifying, analysing, validating and prioritising business and user requirements, including managing sign‑off.
- Procurement: Experience writing business cases, performing options analysis and steering cost proposals through approvals boards.
- Stakeholder management: Confident working under limited supervision with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to elicit requirements, foster agreement and resolve conflict.
- Documentation: Ability to create accurate, well-written and well-presented documents throughout the life of any project, product or task.
SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks. Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance.
Desirable:
- Enterprise technology: Experience working on the delivery of hardware, infrastructure, networking or estates-based IT at scale.
