On behalf of the MOD, we are looking for a Research and Insights Project Manager (Inside IR35) for a 6 month contract based remotely but does Include occasional visits to either the London or York office for meetings as required

SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks. Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance.
As a Research and Insights Project Manager, your main responsibilities will be
- Managing multiple research and data projects across a portfolio of work
- Collaborating with stakeholders to design and implement projects for research and VALOUR
- Developing knowledge mobilisation techniques and guidance to ensure access to high-quality resources
- Monitoring, evaluating, and disseminating learnings from OVA-funded research grants
- Provide feedback and critical review of new and emerging research/evidence reports
- Write and publish summaries of evidence reports, breaking down complex research narratives suitable for a lay audience
Essential Skills
- Experience of managing research projects, start to finish, to deliver tangible outcomes and benefits
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships
- Experience of writing and reviewing methodologies in research and evidence practice
- Relevant experience of research project management, literature reviews and report synthesis
- Familiarity with knowledge mobilisation approaches and facilitating evidence into policy and practice
- Knowledge of the research environment and experience with working with multiple stakeholders to facilitate evidence into policy and practice
Qualifications
- Educated to degree level (e.g., degree in sciences, economics, social research or a similar subject area) or equivalent level of experience
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of an academic research environment
- Experience of working in the context of armed forces and/or ex-military personnel
- Track-record of peer-reviewed publications
