Description & Requirements
On behalf of National Crime Agency , we are looking for a Programme Planner Inside IR35 for a 12 months contract based REMOTELY with occasional travel as per management requirements
As a Programme Planner, your main responsibilities will be:
- Delivery and Leadership – Lead on planning activity and work with the Projects to support delivery of the Business Case benefits and outcomes. Support capability building and the use of best practice in planning and reporting.Provide expert advice for team members and the Project community
- Project Planning – Challenge and test project assumptions to ensure that plans and schedules are realistic and achievable. Development of breakdown structures, quality criteria, product descriptions and monitoring strategy. Support the Senior Project Managers and Project Managers to identify options to optimise delivery through resource smoothing, resource levelling and rescheduling of activities
- Stakeholder Management – Ensure that stakeholder responsibilities and needs are understood and addressed in reporting arrangements
- Project Performance and Controls – Monitor and analyse information, reporting progress, slippage and highlighting areas of risk and opportunity
- Guidance and Support – Provide expert advice on planning processes throughout the lifecycle of the project
Essential:
- Expert level experience in the use of Microsoft Project and proven experience in the use of the Microsoft Suite; Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Office 365
- Practitioner in Planning and Scheduling - Experience of planning and scheduling in complex design and development programmes and be able to understand and work with multi-disciplined teams
- Experience of analysing Project, Programme or Portfolio plans, dependency management, baseline management and resource usage across a Portfolio, Programme or Project
- A working knowledge of Project delivery methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall
Desirable:
- Public sector experience
