Description & Requirements

On behalf of NSI, we are looking for a Programme Financial Reporting Manager Inside IR35 for a 12 month contract working on a part-time (3/4 days per week) hybrid basis (2 days pw in London, Lytham, Durham or Glasgow office and remaining WFH)

This role is subject to Baseline Personnel Security Standard and financial credit checks.

 

The main duties and responsibilities of the Programme Financial Reporting Manager will be to: 

  • Work with Programme and Finance stakeholders to agree, and document, financial management reporting requirements;
  • Work with Programme Accountant to propose, and agree, a single suite of integrated financial management reporting products for Programme; 
  • Build new financial management reports and streamline existing reports to meet governance, reporting and audit requirements;
  • Review and streamline reporting input templates to ensure data is captured once and at source; 
  • Maintain clear audit trails for capturing financial data and any associated risks, opportunities, and assumptions; 
  • Work with Programme stakeholders to launch, socialise and embed new reporting products;
  • Identify and drive recommendations for future reporting enhancements in line with Programme delivery and governance;
  • Produce monthly financial management reports, including robust and comprehensive commentary, to agreed finance timetable deadlines;
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and signpost stakeholders to existing report content, where necessary; and
  • Actively seek feedback from stakeholders and, where appropriate, build into future iterations of reporting suite.

 

Essential: 

  • Skilled in managing, and producing, a range of monthly financial management reports; 
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment, possibly in the Digital or Change environment;
  • Good eye for detail and data accuracy;
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, challenging requirements, where necessary;
  • Ability to work to strict, and sometimes challenging, reporting deadlines;
  • Ability to work well on own initiative and in consultation with others;
  • Advanced Excel skills for analysis and reporting; and
  • Good working knowledge of Power BI.
