AMS PSR

On behalf of The UK Health Security Agency, we are looking for an Economist Inside IR35 for a 6 months contract remotely.

The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has been set up to provide health security for the nation by protecting from infectious disease and external hazards. It will need to take action like no other organisation previously in order to mitigate threats to health before they materialise. UKHSA will be a trusted source of advice to government and to the public.

As an Economist your main responsibilities will be to:

• Develop HM Treasury Green Book-compliant economic cases
• Conduct value-for-money assessments and options appraisals
• Maintain benefits framework and register
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement and workshops
• Draft economic narratives for business cases
• Collaborate with finance, commercial, and strategic stakeholders

Essential:

• Experience with building/construction economic cases (labs/equipment)
• Experience in writing economic cases in public health
• Experience in managing challenging stakeholders

Desirable:

• Public health or scientific infrastructure experience
• Strategic influence and adaptability in evolving environments
