Description & Requirements

On behalf of The Cabinet Office, we are looking for Contracts Manager (Inside IR35) for a contract up to March 2027 based 1 day in Bristol, 1 day in London – with flex for the right candidate.

The role:

The Contract Manager for the Falcon Program is a critical position responsible for managing multiple contracts, overseeing milestones, and driving benefits realisation related to contract savings and rationalisation as the program transitions to a new operating model.

 

As a Contracts Manager, your main responsibilities will be: 

  • Manage multiple contracts within the Falcon program, ensuring delivery aligns with scope.
  • Oversee overall milestones and delivery in collaboration with delivery partners.
  • Conduct impact assessments for contracts affected by Falcon delivery and articulate requirements to existing contract managers.
  • Drive benefits realisation through savings and rationalisation of existing contracts under the new operator model.
  • Provide visible leadership for benefits management across the program.
  • Develop and maintain a clear commercial pipeline, including robust benefits profiles and baselines.
  • Oversee benefits realisation plans, specifically reductions in existing contracts, and manage associated change control.
  • Identify and mitigate risks to the delivery of contract changes and their associated benefits.
  • Track, coordinate, and report on the implementation of benefits.
  • Facilitate benefits mapping workshops and secure stakeholder signoffs.
  • Engage confidently with senior leaders, delivery teams, and portfolio functions across Falcon and BAU teams (Cabinet Office Digital).
  • Promote best practice and continuous improvement in both contract and benefits management.

 

Essential:

  • Experience with contract management experience.
  • Some experience in benefits management.
  • Strong background in IT management and IT contracts.
  • Experience working on a projects
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and influencing capability.
  • Ability to operate across organisational boundaries with good judgment. 

 

Desirable:

  • Project requirement experience working within a PMO, program, or portfolio environment.
  • Familiarity with Cabinet Office tools, governance, and assurance processes.
  • Qualifications such as APMG Benefits Management Practitioner or a minimum of Bronze Contract Management experience
