On behalf of The Home Office, we are looking for a Commercial Support (Inside IR35) for a 10 month contract based in London or Bristol 60% in the office

As a Commercial Support your main responsibilities will be:
- Provide commercial support for the management of a complex, high-value contract within the Emergency Services programme.
- Support the day-to-day operation of the Contract Management team, ensuring effective contract governance and compliance.
- Monitor contractual milestones, deliverables and obligations, escalating risks and issues where appropriate.
- Support the management and administration of contract variations and change control processes.
- Prepare governance papers, briefing packs, presentations and approval documentation for governance boards and senior stakeholders.
- Coordinate supplier governance activities, including supporting contract review meetings and tracking actions.
- Produce regular commercial and contract performance reports.
- Manage the team's shared inbox, ensuring enquiries are handled promptly and appropriately.
- Maintain accurate contract records, registers and key documentation to support governance, audit and assurance requirements.
- Build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers to support successful contract delivery.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of commercial and contract management processes.
- Undertake other duties appropriate to the grade and responsibilities of the role.
Essential:
- SC Clearance
- Demonstrable experience of contract management within the UK public sector or central government.
- Experience supporting the management of complex, high-value and high-profile programmes or contracts.
- Experience of managing contract variations and change control processes.
- Strong understanding of contract governance and contract lifecycle management.
- Experience preparing governance documentation, reports and presentations for senior stakeholders or governance boards.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work accurately under pressure.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships.
- High level of attention to detail and experience maintaining accurate contractual documentation and records.
Desirable:
- Experience within the telecommunications sector.
- Knowledge of supplier performance management and governance frameworks.
- A relevant professional qualification, such as CIPS (or working towards), is desirable, although equivalent commercial or contract management experience will be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
