On behalf of The Home Office, we are looking for a Telecommunications Operators Engagement Lead - Inside IR35 for a 12 Month contract based Hybrid - Remote & Marsham St, London as & when required..
This role will ensure the successful implementation of communications data systems and services that support the operational needs of law enforcement, intelligence agencies and other authorised users. The role encompasses stakeholder engagement, programme delivery oversight, risk and issue management, and alignment with legal and regulatory frameworks. It involves working across government, industry, and technical delivery teams to ensure timely and effective implementation.
As a Telecommunications Operators Engagement Lead your main responsibilities will be:
- Lead stakeholder engagement with Telecommunication Operators to enable delivery of critical capabilities for law enforcement and intelligence.
- Oversee programme delivery, ensuring alignment with national priorities, legal frameworks, and long-term strategic needs.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships across government, industry, and technical teams to drive collaboration and successful outcomes.
- Provide oversight and assurance of secure, resilient technology solutions in regulated environments.
- Manage commercial processes and delivery oversight to ensure timely implementation of new and enhanced communications data capabilities.
- Demonstrate strong understanding of telecoms operations, regulatory compliance, and experience within national security or government contexts.
DV Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks. Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance.
You'll have:
- In-depth knowledge of the Investigatory Powers Act.
- Experience of leading technical/transformational change within a project / programme mangement environment.
- A Communications Data background.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills.
