On behalf of The Ministry of Justice, we are looking for Senior Business Change Manager x2 (Inside IR35) for a 6 month contract which is mainly remote but may Include occasional travel to the London office
The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) priorities include improving public safety and reducing reoffending by reforming prisons, probation and youth justice, and building a justice system which makes access to justice swifter and more certain for all citizens whatever their background. Project professionals in the MoJ help to improve the government’s ability to protect the public and reduce reoffending, and to provide a more effective, transparent and responsive criminal justice system for victims and the public.
Lead and manage business change and stakeholder engagement activities across Transformation Readiness Projects (TRPs), ensuring that the organisation is prepared for, adopts, and sustains change effectively.
As a Senior Business Change Manager, your main responsibilities will be:
- Proactively assess, plan, and deliver business change interventions throughout the project lifecycle, from concept and design through to implementation, transition, and post-delivery review.
- Act as the critical link between project teams and business users, ensuring change impacts are understood, readiness activities are effectively planned and executed, and the business is fully prepared to embed agreed changes.
- Work closely with Project Managers to develop and deliver business change strategies that support the achievement of Business Case outcomes, benefits realisation, and organisational objectives.
- Provide visible leadership, establishing a clear vision for change and promoting best practice business change methodologies, tools, standards, and processes.
- Support and guide project Business Change Managers in the development of high-quality Business Case content, coordinating specialist input where required and ensuring the timely delivery of all business change products and deliverables.
- Lead engagement with senior stakeholders, building strong relationships and securing commitment to change. Own and maintain project change plans, ensuring alignment with overall project delivery plans and key milestones.
- Develop and manage business readiness frameworks and criteria, ensuring robust assessment of organisational preparedness throughout delivery.
- Partner with Project Managers and key stakeholders to inform go-live decisions and provide assurance that business readiness requirements have been met.
- Lead benefits realisation activities, ensuring that the intended outcomes of change initiatives are achieved and sustained. Oversee the integration of business change communications into project communication plans, providing strategic advice, content development, and quality assurance to support effective stakeholder engagement and adoption.
Essential Skills
- Extensive experience in the delivery of large business change programmes within central government
- Experience across both IT and people business change
- Transformation Readiness Projects (TRPs) experience and skillset
- Experience in the set up and delivery from scratch of business change programmes
- Extensive stakeholder engagement at all levels across the business
- Strong self starter with a proactive approach to all duties
