Description & Requirements

On behalf of the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) we are looking for a Recruitment Specialist (Inside IR35) for a contract up to 17/11/2025 with 2-3 days per week from any Nationwide Hub.

 

The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) priorities include improving public safety and reducing reoffending by reforming prisons, probation and youth justice, and building a justice system which makes access to justice swifter and more certain for all citizens whatever their background. Project professionals in the MoJ help to improve the government’s ability to protect the public and reduce reoffending, and to provide a more effective, transparent, and responsive criminal justice system for victims and the public. 

 

As a Recruitment Specialist your main responsibilities will be: 

  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for a variety of data-focused roles, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer management.
  • Partner closely with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and deliver tailored recruitment solutions.
  • Work within established Justice Digital recruitment best practices to ensure efficient and inclusive hiring.
  • Maintain excellent candidate experience throughout the process, from first contact to onboarding.
  • Deliver to time-critical recruitment targets, ensuring that key roles are filled without delay.

 

Essential: 

  • Previous recruitment experience within UK Government (central departments or agencies).
  • Strong understanding and practical experience working SSCL and the Oleeo, Avature, or equivalent Civil Service recruitment systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit for specialist roles, ideally within data and digital functions (e.g. Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Data Architects).
  • Proven track record of delivering end-to-end hiring in a high-volume, fast-paced public sector environment.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and hiring managers.

 

Please be aware that this role can only be worked within the UK and not Overseas.
