On behalf of the MOD, we are looking for a Marketing and Campaigns Manager - (Inside IR35) for a 3 month contract working on a hybrid basis (3 days per week in London)

Working across the UK Government, with devolved administrations, local government, charities and businesses, we ensure that those who leave the armed forces have their contribution recognised, are given the right tools to transition into civilian society and can access effective ongoing support to achieve the best outcomes in employment, health, housing and other areas of need.
Job Description
This role will lead on the delivery of a veterans’ campaign strategy which will target veterans, stakeholders and businesses in key sectors across the UK. You will enjoy working at a fast pace and have a strong background in delivering paid marketing and no-cost communications campaigns ideally in government or the wider public or charity sector.
The successful applicant will have experience in leading campaign development and delivery and have strong relationship-building skills to work with a range of stakeholders. They will also be able to collaborate with teams across comms disciplines to amplify campaign messaging, such as through press engagement, social media content and ministerial visits.
Person specification
- Proven track record of successful campaign delivery, with demonstrated ability to plan, execute, and measure the impact of marketing campaigns across various channels, including paid, owned, and earned media.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to quickly build effective working relationships internally and externally.
- Strong agency management skills, with proven ability to collaborate effectively with external agencies to deliver high-quality work. This includes the experience in inspiring agencies through clear and concise briefings.
- With no direct reports, you will be a motivated self-starter, comfortable devising and delivering communications with the energy and enthusiasm needed to galvanise colleagues across communications disciplines.
- Excellent organisational skills to successfully project manage within a tight campaign delivery window.
- Able to work at pace, sometimes under pressure while ensuring your approach remains sensitive at all times to the subject matter, partner groups and audiences you’re looking to reach.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify opportunities, solve problems, and make data-driven decisions.
- Results-oriented with the ability to take initiative and deliver high-quality work promptly and achieve measurable results.
As a Marketing and Campaigns Manager your main responsibilities will be:
- Oversee the delivery of an integrated marketing campaign from campaign strategy to evaluation, ensuring all aspects are delivered to time and budget.
- Manage relationships with research, creative and media buying agencies, including leading on status calls, agreeing delivery milestones and updating briefings as needed.
- Provide strategic advice on audience insights, messaging and channels to maximise on campaign reach and impact.
- Manage relationships with key external stakeholders including the delivery partner, other government departments and the wider veteran/business community.
- Ensuring effective collaboration across different expert teams (veteran policy, media/press, digital, visits/events).
- Coordinate delivery of campaign and low/no cost content, such as campaign creatives, veteran and employer case studies, stakeholder toolkits, advertorials, thought leadership content etc.
- Support campaign budget management.
Essential:
- SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role; as a minimum you must be eligible and willing to undergo these checks
