On behalf of FCDO, we are looking for a Digital Product Manager (Inside IR35) for a 9 Month contract based Hybrid in London or East Kilbride.

We are seeking a Digital Product Manager to join a growing in-house digital team. In this role, you’ll manage a portfolio of Contact and Communications products that enable British nationals to engage with consular services more effectively. This includes work across GOV.UK platforms, telephony systems, and Salesforce-integrated tools.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape user-centred digital services in a high-impact public service environment.

As a Digital Product Manager your main responsibilities will be to:

• Own and manage a suite of Contact and Communications products—including GOV.UK content, telephony systems, messaging tools, and social media platforms—through the full product lifecycle.
• Lead Agile delivery teams (Scrum/Kanban) to deliver iterative improvements based on user needs and business goals.
• Collaborate with user researchers, business analysts, and policy teams to ensure products are accessible, inclusive, and aligned with user needs.
• Drive integration of new communication technologies (e.g., Salesforce Voice, soft telephony, WhatsApp) into existing systems and workflows.
• Translate business requirements into prioritised product backlogs and manage stakeholder expectations across government and delivery partners.
• Use data, KPIs, and user feedback to measure product performance and inform continuous improvement.

Essential:

• Proven experience in digital product management, ideally within government or the wider public sector.
• Strong knowledge of Agile and Lean practices, including backlog prioritisation, MVP delivery, and iterative development.
• Hands-on experience managing telephony or voice communication platforms; familiarity with Salesforce Voice or similar tools is highly desirable.
  
• Experience working on GOV.UK platforms and a solid understanding of GDS service design standards.
• Knowledge of cloud-based infrastructure, particularly AWS-hosted solutions and system integration tools.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to align cross-functional teams and manage competing priorities.
• SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks. Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance.
