Description & Requirements


On behalf of the MOD, we are looking for a Senior Digital Delivery Lead (Inside IR35) for a 6 Months contract based Hybrid/ in London.


"SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks". Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance.

As a Senior Digital Delivery Lead, your main responsibilities will be:


  • The senior point of escalation on delivery for multiple technology teams.
  • You will have a sound grasp of managing finances and will be able to negotiate multiple commercial statements of work within defence Digital and on behalf of customers across defence.
  • You will write the business and commitment cases to support future activity and have the confidence to brief this at senior stakeholder meetings.
  • You will have a clear vision on how technology choices across defence will grow, with clear strategies on adoption.
  • An understanding of underlying digital technologies will be required, so that key technology and policy risks can be managed and where appropriate, clearly communicated to senior stakeholders.
  • Gaining the day-to-day trust of a team of around 60+ people is required to enhance the operational efficiency of the team and provide the leadership and digital knowledge to drive delivery forward.


Essential:


  • Agile and Lean practices. You can coach and lead teams in Agile and Lean practices. You can act as a recognised expert and advocate for the approaches, continuously reflecting and challenging the team.
  • A proven track record of mentoring and supporting underrepresented groups, with a focus on providing leadership opportunities for diverse team within technology.
  • You can mediate between people and mend relationships, communicating with stakeholders at all levels. You can manage stakeholder expectations and moderate discussions about high risk and complexity, even within constrained timescales.
  • Experience in multiple parts of the product life cycle, with the ability to inspire a team in delivering value while embracing diverse perspectives.
  • Experience in continual planning process in a very complex environment. You can plan beyond product delivery. You can identify dependencies in plans across services and co-ordinate delivery. You can coach other teams as the central point of expertise.
  • Confidence in planning processes within highly complex environments, coordinating delivery across teams.


Please be aware that this role can only be worked within the UK and not Overseas.
