AMS PSR

On behalf of the MOD, we are looking for a Senior Planning Lead (Inside IR35) for a 6 Month hybrid contract based in either London or Bristol.

As a Senior Planning Lead, your main responsibilities will be to:

• Provide visible leadership, lead the planning team, and work with programme managers to deliver business case benefits and outcomes. Champion best practice project planning standards.
• Apply advanced planning knowledge to resolve risks and issues and identify opportunities.
• Identify future capacity and capability needs and develop strategies to meet them.
• Build and maintain external networks to access technical and professional best practices.
• Analyse performance data to identify areas for improvement and select appropriate methods and tools to resolve issues.
• Provide specialist advice and support, guide programme managers on planning approaches, and introduce best practice planning processes and tools.

Essential:

• An experienced Planner and Scheduler to lead on planning activities across the CSM portfolio, including finance, commercial, and HR shared services programmes.
• Transformation and implementation experience in financial, HR, and commercial transformations, shared services functional transformation, and Oracle/ERP implementations.
• Proficient in Jira, with strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks.  Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance. 

Desirable:

• An extensive background in public sector and defence.
• Certified in Portfolio, Programme, and Project Management.
