Description & Requirements
On behalf of DWP, we are looking for a Senior ServiceNow Developer for a 7 Months (Inside IR35) contract based Hybrid in Birmingham, Blackpool, Leeds, London, Manchester, Newcastle or Sheffield.
You'll be joining the Intelligent Service Operations Project (ISOP), supporting it's on-going implementation. The role focuses on delivering business enhancements to the DWP Place offering, helping to meet the department's strategic objectives. This is a ring fenced budget within TCS DWP Place for a dedicated ISOP development & delivery squad.
As a Senior ServiceNow Developer, you will ensure the development, within the feature teams meets both stated requirements and the acceptable standards defined within the Product Delivery Unit (PDU). You will provide technical guidance and escalation for developers and other members.
You will contribute to the overall Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) as part of a delivery team focused on one or more products. Your responsibilities will include providing specialist technical support, assisting in the definition and delivery of functional requirements, and ensuring performant and secure configuration of the products owned by your team.
As a Senior ServiceNow Developer, your main responsibilities will be:
- Deliver new configuration and functionality to the ServiceNow Production instance in line with the DWP Software Delivery Lifecycle and DWP Place roadmap.
- Complete stories assigned or escalate blockers to ensure that development is completed to expected standards and are delivered within timescales.
- Manage the technical progression of more junior developers within your reporting line.
- Perform technical reviews of other developers work and provide any required guidance.
- Line management of developers outside of your feature team(s).
- Creating and maintaining documentation.
Essential:
- Strong understanding of ServiceNow platform components.
- Excellent understanding of client-side functionality.
- Excellent understanding of server-side functionality and APIs.
- Detailed understanding and knowledge of the ServiceNow platform from a development perspective and have a current ServiceNow platform Certification.
Experience working on IT infrastructure services or applications within a large-scale organisation.
- Experience of delivering solutions within an agile framework.
- Strong leadership, mentoring and team management skills.
