On behalf of HM Treasury, we are looking for a Consolidations Accountant (Inside IR35) for a 5 month contract based London or Darlington 3 days per week

As a Consolidations Accountant, your main responsibilities will be:
- Playing an important role in production of the accounts. Using technical expertise to prepare and submit complex journal adjustments in production of the accounts and producing individual notes to the accounts and financial statements, working at pace and collaborating with team members.
- Liaison with National Audit Office staff, working to come up with effective solutions, and responding to complex audit queries.
- Develop and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders (both internal and external) to support successful WGA implementation.
- Seeking and implementing solutions to improve processes and systems, linking to faster delivery of the WGA.
Essential:
- Qualified or Part qualified accountant
- Extensive Consolidations Experience
- WGA experience
- Consolidations experience in a Large Government Department (Ideally HMT)
- Understanding Complex Financial Interdependencies
Desirable:
- HMT Treasury Consolidations experience
