AMS PSR

On behalf of the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS), we are looking for a Configuration Manager (Inside IR35) for a 12 month contract Remote based.

Job Purpose

Working with internal subject-matter experts, the Loan Management Service (LMS) Configuration Manager will define and implement Salesforce Configuration requirements to support the ongoing management of an existing live service and contribute to the migration from an existing supplier to an in-house DCMS operating model. The service is based on a Salesforce Lightning ‘front-end’ implementation and Singlify loan management service.

The configuration manager will be responsible for production of policy, processes, procedures, working practices and supporting guidance to promote effective LMS operation and ongoing improvement, from concept to execution and review.

You will also be responsible for planning, managing and monitoring implementation, ensuring that the LMS delivers the department’s requirements in a safe, secure and sustainable way, making best and most effective use of our technology platform.

As a Configuration Manager your main responsibilities will be:

• Issue Triage and Resolution: acting as the first point of contact for all support requests, triaging and resolving issues in line with parameters set by the Service Owner and managing escalations to Singlify through to resolution.
• Platform Configuration and Stewardship: maintaining the DCMS instance in a stable and well-governed state, including user access, permissions, and configuration, and ensuring that platform changes are tested and communicated appropriately.
• Knowledge Transfer and Retention: maintaining documentation, configuration logs, and an operational knowledge base that reflects how the platform works and why, ensuring DCMS can independently operate and maintain the platform following the transition and that knowledge is retained in-house.

Essential:

• Experience in Salesforce and Salesforce Lightning concepts and practices
• Experience supporting and configuring live/BAU Salesforce services
• Experience documenting processes, configurations and knowledge transfer to support operational handover
• Capable in defining the methods and techniques for management of IT Assets, business impact analysis based on IT component relationships, provision of data relating to IT Assets to enable improved change and project planning

Desirable:

• Experience working alongside third-party suppliers or managed service providers
• Familiarity with finance or loan management environments
• Familiarity with accessible service design and user-centred design principles
• Experience with the Government Service Standard and Government Design System
