On behalf of FCDO, we are looking for an Commercial IT Delivery Manager - Inside IR35 for a 6 month contract working on a Hybrid basis (1 day per week in London office and remaining WFH)

About the role:
Consular Services Department is seeking an experienced Commercial IT Delivery Manager to support the mobilisation of new digital contracts, manage transition and exit deliverables, and ensure governance and reporting align with HMG commercial, procurement and business case expectations.
The role will help establish clear ways of working between suppliers, Commercial, Finance, IDD and Consular delivery teams, ensuring responsibilities, milestones, risks and decisions are visible from contract set-up through to live service.
The postholder will report to the Head of Strategy and Portfolio.
The main duties and responsibilities of the Commercial IT Delivery Manager would be to:
- Support mobilisation of new contracts, including onboarding, handover, access, governance, reporting cycles and early supplier engagement.
- Manage transition deliverables, including transition plans, milestones, RAID logs, dependencies, readiness checks, knowledge transfer and acceptance criteria.
- Coordinate exit activity across incumbent suppliers, including exit plans, asset registers, handover documentation, data requirements and service continuity.
- Maintain clear governance and senior reporting on progress, risks, issues, dependencies, decisions and confidence in readiness for service commencement.
- Work with Commercial and Finance colleagues to track Statements of Work, variations, extensions, transition costs and exit-related commitments.
Essential:
- Experience of public procurement, contract management or supplier transition in a government or regulated environment.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage milestones, risks, actions, dependencies and reporting across multiple workstreams.
- Ability to work confidently with commercial, finance, technical, supplier and senior stakeholders.
- Clear written communication skills, including drafting governance papers, reports, decision logs and senior updates.
- Developed IT skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams and document management tools.
- Desirable skills and experience
- Experience supporting digital, data, technology or managed service contracts.
- Knowledge of HMG business case, Green Book, Teal book and contract management guidance.
