On behalf of FCDO, we are looking for a Data Modeller (Outside IR35) for a 3 month contract based Hybrid in London.

As a Data Modeller, your main responsibilities will be:
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain complex data models, including establishing relationships, hierarchies, and calculated columns. Develop data integration tasks, including data source connections and data transformation processes.
- Perform complex data analysis tasks using DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) functions to create
- calculated measures and solve intricate business problems. Develop advanced DAX calculations for financial, statistical, or performance analysis.
- Create and maintain advanced data models that support complex reporting requirements, including
- handling large datasets and optimising performance. Advise team members in data modelling techniques.
- Optimise report and dashboard performance by improving data queries, data model efficiency, and report rendering speed. Identify and address bottlenecks and resource constraints.
- Collaborate closely with business analysts, stakeholders, and end-users to gather and refine requirements for analysis, reports and dashboards.
Essential:
- Passionate about Excel and data with a proven track record of delivering high-quality Excel-based solutions.
- Experienced using PowerQuery.
- Extensive experienced in developing, managing, and optimising Excel-based solutions to support various business functions, has a strong understanding of Excel's advanced features and capabilities, and be able to translate requirements into effective Excel solutions
- Able to work with various data sources, including databases, Excel, SharePoint, APIs, and web services.
- Familiar with data visualisation and the ability to think creatively and innovatively to design and create visually appealing and insightful custom report.
- Able to work independently but also has strong collaboration skills to work closely with business analysts, data engineers, and other team members in multidisciplinary projects.
