AMS PSR

On behalf of FCDO, we are looking for a Commercial IT Business Analyst Inside IR35 for a 12 months  contract based Hybrid 1 day a week in London

As a Commercial IT Business Analyst, your main responsibilities will be to:

• Identify of the most Value for money ways to contract, leading end to end competitive and single source procurement activities
• Lead business case development as part of the sourcing process for Consular Services Department. This will include setting out the rationale for procurement, options analysis and a clear recommendation considering strategic and operational drivers.
• Be responsible for requirements analysis and elaboration to support procurement
• Support the assessment of tenders during the procurement process, either directly forming part of our technical panels or advising panel members on specific requirements and suitability of proposals
• Ensure all procurement activities represent best value for money and all activity undertaken is in line with HMG procurement policy, applicable regulations, and best practice

Initiate, develop and maintain relationships with a broad range of stakeholder, to enable early identification and resolution of issues.

The job holder will need to be well organised and able to prioritise effectively, work independently and be required to work closely with stakeholders across the Department.

Essential:

• Business Analysis Experience: (Requirements Engineering, Process Mapping, Options Analysis, Stakeholder Management & Engagement)
• Strong Procurement Experience (Business Case development, benefits management, Value for Money etc.)
• Strong IT knowledge and ability to bridge the gap between technical and commercial stakeholders
• Strong communication skills – able to convert technical information into requirements for procurement)
• Experience of working on large UK public sector procurement projects.

Desirable:

• International Diploma in Business Analysis
