Description & Requirements

On behalf of DWP, we are looking for a Talent Sourcer for 6 months (Inside IR35) contract based Hybrid - 2 days a week in either London, Leeds, Birmingham, Newcastle, Sheffield, Manchester.


The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is responsible for welfare, pensions, and child maintenance policy. As the UK’s biggest public service department, it administers the State Pension and a range of working age, disability and ill health benefits to around 20 million claimants and customers. As such, we operate on a scale that is almost unmatched anywhere in Europe and most people in Britain come into contact with us at some point in their lives.


Working with DWP, you will be helping us to drive our priorities to:


  • Help people to move into work and support those already in work to progress, with the aim of increasing overall workforce participation
  • Help people to plan and save for later life, while providing a safety net for those who need it now
  • Provide effective, efficient, and innovative services to the millions of claimants who rely on us every day, including the most vulnerable in society
  • Improve experience of our services while maximising value for money for the taxpayer.



As a Talent Sourcer, your main responsibilities will be:

  

  • Elicit requirements relating to vacancies, working with stakeholders to understand the recruitment requirement and advising them how they can support recruitment and attraction activity.  
  • You are responsible for sourcing candidates to fill specialist job roles. You understand the available tools and make/communicate decisions about the right tools and methods to use to fill specific vacancies.
  • Perform candidate engagement and attraction using tools including LinkedIn Recruiter, and specialist job boards. This includes bespoke messaging and outreach to candidates, phone conversations, lead nurturing and managing an online presence.  
  • Build a network of potential candidates from within specialist talent pools, and manage quality candidates through the recruitment journey.
  • Draft engaging and attractive market facing job adverts 
  • Collate, interpret and package market data and talent insight, using a variety of tools, to inform stakeholders and support recruitment decisions.  
  • Work collaboratively with other recruitment professionals, including close partnerships with Campaign Managers and Senior Talent Acquisition Managers.     
  • Represent DWP in events, internal and external.
  • Make salary and job offers to successful candidates; negotiating as required within given guidelines. Developing knowledge of the policies and practices relating to salary in order to give sound advice and support to vacancy holders and candidates.


Essential:

   

  • Experience of sourcing and managing candidates for specialist roles, especially digital/technology roles. + Good understanding and competence with the tools and techniques required for this activity.  
  • A good communicator, able to engage confidently with internal stakeholders, and with especially with potential candidates for specialist DWP roles  
  • Ability to write to engage and communicate with a specific audience (especially in the context of job adverts)
  • Knowledge, experience and understanding of the recruitment market, and of recruiting in a digital/technology context, or another specialist context.
