On behalf of The Government Property Agency, we are looking for a Regional Workplace Services Manager for a 6 Month contract based in London.


The Government Property Agency is an Executive Agency of the cabinet office. It is changing the way the Civil Service works and is at the forefront of Government's transformation agenda; reshaping the relationship civil servants have with their place of work. The Agency is central to the delivery of key Government policies including moving 22,000 Civil Service roles out of London by 2030 and tackling climate change by contributing to the Net Zero agenda. To do this we are delivering a major change programme across the UK and consolidating our portfolio in order to save £1.4 Bn over 10 years.

This is an ambitious and exciting task, for which we need innovative people, with strong commercial acumen, who are passionate about visualising and implementing customer needs.


As a Regional Workplace Services Manager, your main responsibilities will be:


  • Budget management responsibility for the region, including forecasting, management and improvement including the approvals in line with the delegated authority matrix.
  • Actively participate in and support the development and deployment of the WSD strategy.
  • Responsible for Supplier Management and the application of commercial toolkit where applicable to drive standards to the expected level. Developing strong relationships with service providers to foster a culture of string collaboration and customer focused delivery.
  • Contributes to and embeds change programmes and the GPA Workplace Services Strategies into the operating model.
  • Responsible for ensuring effective incident management support in line with the defined processes and policies.


Essential:


  • To be an excellent leader and manager, with experience of building capability and driving continuous improvement, encouraging diversity and collaboration and promoting a high-performance customer service culture.
  • To possess the authority and gravitas to influence stakeholders senior level (inside and outside government), maintaining support for a demanding change agenda amidst other competing pressures.
  • To be creative, innovative and adaptable, able to evolve as the Agency develops.
  • To be comfortable working in a fast paced environment, dealing with uncertainty and handling a range of challenges competently as they emerge.
  • To have leadership experience in workplace-related services (hard and soft FM, operational security, ICT services, hospitality, community engagement) with first class commercial acumen.
  • Possess the ability to get the best out key suppliers, managing and escalating issues and engaging in key decision making with strategic consequence.


Desirable:


  • Appropriate professional qualifications and memberships such as IWFM or equivalent and APM Registration or Chartership.
