Description & Requirements

On behalf of Crown Commercial Services (CCS), we are looking for a Junior Internal Communications Officer (Inside IR35) for a 12 month contract on a hybrid basis from any nationwide hub (Liverpool preferred, London not a hub option)

As a Junior Internal Communications Officer your main responsibilities will be:

  • Understand and use new digital tools and platforms to improve online content and communication. Work with partners through online networks.
  • Know the basics of accessibility and usability to create content that everyone can access easily.
  • Help organise and support online events like podcasts, live chats, broadcasts, blogs, and social media posts.
  • Track and report on how well digital communications are performing using simple metrics.
  • Understand different groups within the organisation to tailor internal messages that are clear and easy to read for everyone.
  • Use feedback and audience insights to help plan and improve internal communication strategies, choosing the best channels and timing.
  • Encourage two-way communication and in-person conversations to boost employee engagement, especially during changes in the organisation.
  • Help manage internal communication plans by coordinating activities, resources, and risks. Support managers to confidently share key messages with their teams.
  • Evaluate how well internal communications are working and use staff feedback to make them better.
  • Review employee engagement information to identify challenges and suggest ways to improve communication.

 

Essential: 

  • Experience within an internal communication function, using a range of digital tools and communication channels to engage and inform employees
  • Track-record of collaborating with colleagues outside of team to deliver internal communication activities and comfortable communicating with senior stakeholders, both verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrable experience using insight and data to tell a story and analytics to make recommendations and improvements 
  • Excellent copywriting and editorial skills and experience, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to deliver communications to deadlines

 

Please be aware that this role can only be worked within the UK and not Overseas.

Any rates of payment quoted will reflect the gross rate per day for the assignment and will be subject to appropriate taxes and statutory costs.
