On behalf of Homes England, we are looking for a Data Architect (Inside IR35) for a 6 Month contract based Hybrid in any of the following offices (Newcastle, Leeds, Liverpool or Birmingham.
Homes England, the government’s housing and regeneration agency, plays a central role in tackling the housing challenges the country now faces. Following the publication of the government’s Levelling Up White Paper, Homes England has also been tasked with a core role in spearheading regeneration, partnering with places to reduce economic disparity, empower local leaders and create equal opportunities across the country to ensure communities reach their full potential.
As a Data Architect, your main responsibilities will be:
- Develop architectural patterns and standards for data based on ingestion routines, data governance and presentation requirements.
- Be a data custodian for data within Homes England, maintaining and publishing a comprehensive data catalogue, working with data owners and stewards to ensure data is defined and controlled in accordance with agreed standards.
- Develop conceptual, logical and physical data models to support data driven decision making across the organisation.
- Work with stakeholders across Homes England to understand business activities and ensure the availability of high quality information to support timely decision making.
- Be the technical point of contact for data stewardship and data governance issues, ensuring that our data governance structure is adhered to.
Essential:
- Strong experience of developing and managing a data catalogue for a diverse and complex organisation
- Data Engineering concepts, including conceptual, Logical and Physical data designs, relational databases and data warehousing and cloud-based data deployment
Please be aware that this role can only be worked within the UK and not Overseas.
