Description & Requirements



On behalf of DWP, we are looking for a Security Services Manager - (INSIDE IR35) until 31st March for a hybrid contract based in Birmingham, Blackpool, Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle or Sheffield.


The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is responsible for welfare, pensions, and child maintenance policy.   • Provide effective, efficient, and innovative services to the millions of claimants who rely on us every day, including the most vulnerable in society
  • Improve experience of our services while maximising value for money for the taxpayer.


Role Overview

Responsible for Security services Lead supporting other Security Services Managers in the delivery of services and supplies from Estates Supply Chain Partners under the SCC, TFM and STA contracts


As a Security Services Manager - (INSIDE IR35), your main responsibilities will be:

Act as central point of contact for supplier and service queries.

Oversee three main areas:

Security Control Centre (SCC)

Security Systems

Security Technical Advisor STA (Contract)


  • Collaborate with suppliers and DWP stakeholders for smooth service delivery.
  • Manage supplier performance and ensure compliance with contracted services.
  • Coordinate CAFM system and associated supplier systems.
  • Maintain supplier risk/issues register, service variation requests, complaints, and escalations.
  • Produce reports (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI) and attend service review meetings.
  • Conduct service reviews and quality checks for best value and compliance.

Essential:

  • Service delivery management experience.
  • Operational experience with security systems contracts.
  • Ability to manage complex projects across multiple locations.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Power BI for reporting.
  • Understanding of continuous improvement programs.
  • Familiarity with supplier/customer relationship management tools.
  • Knowledge of risk management and contingency planning.
  • Experience managing national or multi-site contracts.


Desirable Skills

  • Experience with Concept CAFM system.
  • Previous authority experience not required (security background preferred).
  • Qualifications welcome but relevant experience accepted in lieu.
