Description & Requirements


On behalf of Low Carbon Contracts Company we are looking for a Facilities Project Manager (Outside IR35) for a 9 month contract which is a hybrid role so does require up to 2 days a week in the Leeds office

As a Facilities Project Manager, your main responsibilities will be:


  • Work with the internal team to manage the end to end process for the Leeds office move taking the lead in driving the project forward.
  • Support in all aspects of property lease negotiation, including heads of terms, rent, service charges, break clauses, dilapidations and incentives.
  • Liaise with internal and external legal advisers to ensure lease agreements, licences to occupy, and other property contracts meet statutory and departmental requirements.
  • Coordinate due diligence activities: title review, planning constraints, accessibility requirements, environmental checks and building surveys.
  • Prepare and submit business cases and investment proposals through the appropriate channels
  • Ensure that decisions align with public sector procurement frameworks and value formoney principles for money principles. for money principles.
  • Maintain a comprehensive project actions and risk register covering programme, cost, legal, operational and reputational risks.
  • Ensure adherence to all CDM regulations, fire safety requirements, health & safety standards, and government property guidelines.


Essential Skills


  • Proven experience delivering commercial office relocation, including leasing processes and fit out projects as a client side Facilities or Project Manager.
  • Good knowledge of public sector governance, procurement frameworks, and value for money principles.
  • Demonstrable experience managing complex project budgets, cost controls, and financial reporting.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams including contractors, designers, IT, legal, and internal stakeholders.
  • Good stakeholder management and communication skills, including engagement with senior leaders.
  • Ability to operate at pace in a time critical, delivery focused environment.


Desirable Skills


  • Experience working within government or arm’s length body environments.
  • Experience integrating IT and AV solutions into office fit out programmes.
  • Familiarity with sustainability and accessibility considerations in office design.


Qualifications


  • Relevant professional qualifications (e.g. PRINCE2, APM, RICS, IOSH, or equivalent)
