On behalf of DWP, we are looking for a Commercial Leasehold Property Manager (Inside IR35) on a 12 month contract based remotely but does Include 2 days a week in either the Leeds, Sheffield, Birmingham or Newcastle office.
The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is responsible for welfare, pensions, and child maintenance policy. As the UK’s biggest public service department, it administers the State Pension and a range of working age, disability and ill health benefits to around 20 million claimants and customers. An exciting opportunity has arisen for you to work within and be a part of the Landlord and Leasehold Management Team (LLMT). This is a senior role, is fast paced, high pressured and timescale driven, and you will already have experience working across a large complex commercial estate.
You will work closely with other estates teams including projects, field team, relationship management team, strategy and workplace transformation as well as instructing and working closely on a daily basis with the LLMT’s property agents and their solicitors to manage the estate.
As a Commercial Leasehold Property Manager, your main responsibilities will be:
- Work in a busy team managing renewals acquisitions, rent reviews, dilapidations, lease surrenders, business rates, deeds of variations, licenses and landlord consents
- Stakeholder engagement at all levels
- Collaboration with colleagues in the Department and the LLM teams Property Agents, to effectively manage the estate
- Work with the LLM Teams appointed legal Supplier to manage real estate matters across the estate
Essential Skills
- Extensive experience within the commercial property arena
- Commercial Leasehold, LL and Tenant experience
- Stakeholder engagement at all levels
- Knowledge of and experience of working within the Landlord and Tenant 54 Act
- Experience of working within public sector Commercial Property
- Strong self starter
Desirable Skills
- RICS qualification would be highly beneficial
