On behalf of DWP, we are looking for a BIM Manager for a (Inside IR35) contract which runs till the end of March 2026 based remotely but does Include up to 3 days a week in the nearest DWP hub - Blackpool, Glasgow, Leeds, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Pontypridd, Manchester, Sheffield, (London and Birmingham


The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is responsible for welfare, pensions, and child maintenance policy. As the UK’s biggest public service  department, it administers the State Pension and a range of working age, disability and ill health benefits to around 20 million claimants and customers. As such, we operate on a scale that is almost unmatched anywhere in Europe and most people in Britain come into contact with us at some point in their lives.


DWP Estates is currently undertaking an internal recruitment drive to bolster the expertise held within the department. As such the asset management are looking to develop an Asset Information Management (AIM) team to help develop a collaborative approach across internal teams and supply chain partners. The team will be responsible for assuring the information developed through projects delivery lifecycle, but also Facilities Management reactive and planned works. The team will be focused on generating the golden thread of information to help the department understand our estate and consequently make better decisions in delivering our key objectives.


As a BIM Manager, your main responsibilities will be:


  • Act as the primary point of contact for all project-specific BIM queries.
  • Engage with stakeholders across design, delivery, and client teams to ensure alignment and collaboration.
  • Oversee and audit BIM deliverables to ensure they meet the Employer’s Information Requirements (EIR).
  • Review and validate BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), providing feedback and guidance to delivery teams.
  • Translate client-side requirements into actionable deliverables for project teams.

 

Essential Skills


  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 19650 and information management principles.
  • Proven experience delivering projects in compliance with ISO 19650 standards, including auditing and issue resolution.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills across all levels, from design to delivery.
  • Ability to interpret and implement client requirements into project workflows.
  • Experience working on both client-side and delivery-side projects, with an understanding of client expectations.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, IFC, and COBie deliverables.


Desirable Skills


  • Experience working on public sector projects is highly advantageous.
