Description & Requirements

On behalf of The Home Office, we are looking for a Senior Commercial Officer - Inside IR35 for a 12 month contract working on a Hybrid basis (3 days in London office and remaining WFH)

The Home Office Enterprise Services Commercial Team is seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Manager (SEO) to provide critical commercial support to Data Services and Analytics (DSA) and Quality Assurance and Testing (QAT) within HO Digital

You will play a pivotal role in delivering high‑value, complex digital procurements and supporting contract management and transition activity throughout 2026


As a Senior Commercial Officer, your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Lead and support major public sector digital procurements and re‑procurements for DSA and QAT
  • Support implementation of a £350m procurement consolidating several DSA contracts, with contract award expected in March 2026
  • Manage significant transition and exit activity throughout 2026
  • Support procurement of two new QAT contracts to be completed by June 2026
  • Develop procurement strategies for multiple additional QAT requirements
  • Provide ongoing contract management, stakeholder engagement, and commercial advice
  • Work closely with digital, technical, and delivery stakeholders across HO Digital


PLEASE NOTE:

SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks. Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance


Essential:

  • Experience of working in a Public Sector Commercial environment
  • Experience of running procurements /contracts
  • Digital background
  • Experience of using CCS frameworks
  • End to end procurement experience
  • Stakeholder management experience


Desirable:

  • CIPS
  • High Value procurement experience
  • Experience of using Jaggaer
