Description & Requirements

On behalf of the Cabinet Office, we are looking for a Senior Business Data Analyst (Inside IR35) for a 6 month contract based hybrid role 1-2 days in London 


SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role


We are looking for a senior business data analyst to understand the data domains between HR & Finance, working between Data & Architecture. You will need to understand who owns the data domains, ensuring Ardoq & Informatica are in sync.


Key Responsibilities:

Investigating Data Domains:

•Conduct investigations of data domains across the enterprise using various resources, including data and architecture solutions

•Analyse data and relationships to identify and define data domains and subdomains

•Data modelling

Stakeholder Management:

•Interview key stakeholders to gather detailed information about data domains and get buy in on ownership and accountability

•Collaborate with business units, data and IT teams, and other stakeholders

Documentation:

•Document a consolidated inventory of proposed data domains and subdomains

Identify and propose data domain owners for each domain and subdomain

•Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation of data assets and their associated metadata

Governance and Ownership Framework:

•Propose a data domain governance and ownership framework

•Ensure alignment of the governance framework with existing Data Management Policies and Standards


Qualifications/Experience:

•Experience in data management, or a related role with awareness of data governance principles, practices, and tools.

•Awareness of data cataloguing tools

•Experience with enterprise data tools

•Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

•Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
