On behalf of DEFRA, we are looking for a Project Manager (Inside IR35) for a 6 month contract. This is a hybrid working role (travel to London required on an as and when basis).

Job Purpose:
Project Manager for delivery of change and readiness project related activity across HR in preparation for Synergy.
As a Project Manager, your main responsibilities will be:
- Development and ownership of key project artefacts (PID, project plan, RAID log, etc.).
- Developing fit for purpose governance.
- Development, clearance and issue of highlight reports.
- Driving project progress through project meetings, discussions with activity owners.
- Keeping the SRO appraised of progress, risks, issues, etc.
Essential:
- Experience of working in a medium complexity project team with working knowledge of project delivery methodologies and frameworks.
- Knowledge of planning, scheduling, budget management, resource management, risk and issue management in a project or programme environment, or appropriate skills that have been gathered in a non-project environment.
- Knowledge of governance, assurance, requirements management and change control in a project or programme environment or appropriate skills that have been gathered in a non-project environment.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, collaborating across boundaries with the ability to influence and challenge effectively.
