Description & Requirements

On behalf of Network Rail, we are looking for a Programme Manager (Inside IR35) for a 3 month contract. This is a hybrid working (three days per week office based - London or Swindon).

Job Purpose:


To lead a study for the Plymouth Re-signalling project, to determine the optimum delivery model and defining all interfaces and risks between the suppliers along with developing the construction staging and sequencing to optimise the efficient delivery of scheme.


As a Programme Manager, your main responsibilities will be:


  • Plan and track progress of the programme to ensure an up to date picture is maintained, ensuring actions are progressed.
  • Identify likely problems that may hinder delivery and suggest solutions.
  • Ensure the programme risk register is updated on a regular basis and the information captured is up to date and can be reported on efficiently.
  • Design and create reports for Programme and Steering Boards such as programme dashboards, minutes and presentation slides.
  • Manage the product and risk management processes and ensure there is robust adherence to project management processes including planning, risk management, dependency management and change control.


Essential: 


  • Experience Project managing and delivering major re-signalling schemes for tier 1 suppliers
  • Understand railway access integration, safety, CDM, minimising risk to the client.
  • Understand network rails procedures in terms of pace and NVP.


Desirable:


  • Public sector background
  • PTS would be beneficial
