On behalf of Defra, we are currently creating a pipeline for an upcoming opportunity for a Personal Assistant (Inside IR35) for a hybrid based in London, Birmingham or Warrington contract to run up until 31/3/26.
This position is ideal for ambitious university leavers looking to start their professional journey.

As a Personal Assistant , your main responsibilities will be:
- Provide high-level secretarial and administrative support to one or two senior managers.
- Exercise independent judgment and discretion in handling tasks.
- Compose non-routine correspondence.
- Compile reports and prepare documentation.
- Transcribe dictation accurately.
- Type documents using word processing or spreadsheet software.
- Receive and assist visitors professionally.
- Screen and direct incoming telephone calls.
- Manage diaries and schedules effectively.
- Arrange meetings and coordinate travel plans.
- Maintain records and filing systems.
Essential:
- Highly organized and self-starting.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong time management skills.
- Ability to balance multiple tasks effectively.
- Confident with diary management and scheduling.
- Ability to respond to emails promptly and professionally.
