Description & Requirements

On behalf of the CPS, we are looking for a HR Manager - Employee Relations and People Policy - (Inside IR35) for a 4-month contract working on a hybrid basis and with an expectation of 2 days attendance in the London office


The CPS prosecutes criminal cases that have been investigated by the police and other investigative organisations in England and Wales. The CPS is independent, and they make their decisions independently of the police and government.


Their duty is to make sure that the right person is prosecuted for the right offence, and to bring offenders to justice wherever possible.

As a HR Manager - Employee Relations and People Policy - (Inside IR35)  your main responsibilities will be:

  • Undertake HR policy development and review work to ensure compliance with employment legislation and alignment with organisational values and best practice.
  • Provide high-quality, timely HR policy advice to HR colleagues and senior managers to support effective service delivery


Experience and Skills to bring to the role are:

  • Proven experience of drafting, reviewing and implementing HR policies.
  • Generalist HR expertise, complemented by experience in an operational HR environment.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to consider multiple perspectives and develop a contemporary, business focused HR policies
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills to ensure policies meet business requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and
  • deliver within agreed timeframes.


Essential:

  • Experience of policy development
  • Stakeholder engagement and Influencing skills
  • Exceptional communication skills


Desirable:

  • CIPD
  • Public Sector experience
