Description & Requirements


On behalf of the Cabinet Office, we are looking for a Fullstack Developer (Inside IR35) for a 6 Month contract based Remotely with occasional travel to either the London, Glasgow, Bristol or Manchester office.

SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks. Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance. 


As a Fullstack Developer, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders in the Cyber team to gather requirements, understand the project roadmap and align on prioritised application features
  • Deploy cloud architecture, implement branching strategy and build a CI/CD pipeline used to support continuous development, deployment and testing of the application
  • Write a comprehensive set of tests to ensure code quality and maintain high test coverage across the application
  • Develop core application frontend functionality using AWS CloudScape Design React components, and diagramming functionality using a React library such as ReactFlow
  • Integrate the application with departmental identity providers to facilitate authentication and authorisation of users
  • Implement backend data persistence of threat models, and a REST API allowing users to perform CRUD operations from the React frontend


Essential:

  • Strong proficiency in Typescript and Python
  • Experience building applications in React with Vite
  • Experience containerising, building and deploying React applications with Docker; strong experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions
  • Experience with modern testing frameworks


Desirable:

  • Previous Public Sector experience
